Default fuel pump assembly swap

getting ready to get a new tank and trying to prepare for the swap. how difficult is it to swap the fuel pump assembly out. The line to the the quick disconnect seems like it would have to be cut and replaced. any tips/tricks/advice would be welcomed.

Its simple, nothing to it. You'll need new screws for the top plate. I would replace the fuel filter while your in there.

No need to cut anything. The hoses "plug" into the pump assembly with plastic clips. Everything is removable and able to be reassembled.

Service manual recommends new gasket and screws. Pay attention to torqueing sequence of gasket screws at reassembly.

Definitely replace the filter too. Good luck.

ive been reading up on that gates submersible hose upgrade thread. i planning on gathering the parts and will inspect my hoses when i have it out. and decide then if i do the upgrade. Seeing that this is all new territory for me, i may just opt to keep it simple and remove and install the assembly in the new tank. i have 19,000 on the bike
