Default FXDLS 110 on a 96/103?

A friend of mine just got a '17 FXDLS and put the 117 kit in it before he took delivery. He now has the whole 110 setup in a box in his garage. I know previously you could only go up to a 107 with the 96/103 bottom end without boring out the cases. Then HD came out with that new 110 tire shredder kit for the 96/103. What are the chances his 110 set up will fit on my lower end without modification? I'm doubtful but I figured I'd throw it out to the all knowing HD Forums community and see what they had to say.

You would need to machine the cases for your friend's cylinders to fit your engine. The spigots on the add-on 110" kits are machined to a smaller outer diameter than the standard 110" cylinders are, plus the cylinder liners are made from a stronger material (nikasil, I believe) so the thinner liner can still stand up to the job it's asked to do.
