Pete (Rocket Bob's) makes a dash blanking panel, but I don't know which tank it fits. It's not in his store, so you would have to email him.

went in to the dealer and ordered the front and back cushions for the guages and the screws

2 x 67344-97 (FR)
2 x 67345-97 (RR)
4 x 2361 screw

the dealer said to extend just buy the wires and connectors/pins and build what you need... for some reason... this never occurred to me. and folks had already said solder your own...

anyone know what gauge wires are needed? i'm going to go find the wiring diagram for the speedo/tach harness. i reckon i'll need to do the same for the ignition switch.

dealer also recommended Namz: http://www.namzcustomcycleproducts.com/services.html as a source if i wanted to be lazy.

edit: found diagram in service manual...

So, this adapter will go under the cross bar, on the "riser" bars, and then another bracket bolts to this to hold the gauges at an angle?

Exactly. You can skip the high dollar bar clamp bracket, and use two Drag Specialties clutch cable clamps on each riser, then clamp the gauge cluster to those... I believe the fancy bracket is over $100, where as the clutch clamps can be had for 30-50 total.

Here's a picture of the stock FXDX bracket and gauges.

The LA Choppers mount is about $50 and practically invisible when it's mounted. It wedges between the bars instead of clamping around.
