I've never even thought of doing that. Does it hurt braking performance? It doesn't seem like it would last long with the abuse from the brakes, but I've been wrong plenty of times.

The machined surfaces on the LR wheels are NOT clear coated.

I agree. You can feel the machining marks with your fingers. My issues were with the outer outside part of the wheel if that makes sense.

on a bike of that price they should be.early fatbobs weren't either-go figure.
