I am in the process of converting my Harley with a set of protaper mx bars. For those who don't know they have 7/8 in grips while Harley's come stock with 1in grips. The only problem i've encountered is making the controls fit (turn signals, kill switch, horn, etc.). To make them work I need shims that will fit around 7/8in bars that are 1/8in in thickness to complete the total diameter of 1in. If anyone knows where I can buy some please let me know. Although it's not that simple if anyone knows how to make any shims any tips on how to make them would be appreciated.

All kind of ideas out there to make this work...lowbrows sells em if you have no way to make your own. Too easy.

 

Beer cans cut one in strips and wrap them in the handlerbar till it shims enough to make the controls grip correctly and not slide, its a trick I use to make the handlebar stick in the clamp, specially for ape hangers.
