I didn't realize they made them for the newer twin cams. Looks awesome and I like how easy it is to vent externally. My exposed filter gets gunked up pretty quick hanging out in the breeze. I definitely see one of these in my future.

I didn't either until I read this thread. This is one of the few kits that allows venting to atmosphere without any extensive modifications....I think the SS would look bitchin on my sled. This is the one that'll fit my ride but I'll have to buy it at a dealership since I can't find it in black on Amazon.

Looks good but I would have gone with a velocity stack. Would have exposed more of the motor too.

Didn't want an exposed filter hence why I took off the oem heavy breather. Function over looks every time, if it looks better then that's great but isn't the reason why I change things up.

Venting those cylinder head breathers are pretty easy with the S&S ac:

Is that bypass part of the a/c kit or did you DIY?

Velocity stack w/filter not exposed. I agree though, function over looks.

No, not part f the ac kit. Picked up the 3/8" ID hose from an Auto Parts Store and the 3/8" double inlet breather filter on EBay. You will also need to get some 3/8" caps to close off the inlet to the back of the ac plate that attaches to the throttle body..

Are the banjo fittings stick on the Lowrider? My FXDC has straight fittings.

Another vote for the classic S&S air cleaner...I don't have a "SUPER" carb, but do use their excellent E-Z start cams, so found a polished aluminum "S&S CYCLE" cover. Also, the filter is easier to get then some other aftermarket air-cleaners
