got some work done today, painted the fork lowers, new springs and a DDC valve. forks should be ready to go now.

when you dont have a fork vice an old set of sportster trees work

Cogent builds a DDC valve that works great. I have used others and this one works better than any I have tried. It has a real shim stack which allows a wide range of adjustment and the center orifice can be changed out to adjust high speed damping. My last forks I just sent to Rick and he dailed them in on the fork dyno, thats the nice lazy way

all finished up and ready to rip around on.

Almost forgot, put on a big sucker too

I was unfamiliar with "Cogent". Looks like you (or somebody) modified the original diameters

Their website is motocd.com. They have done all my off road bikes and helped with the design on the sportster above. I sent them some forks for another Harley and they made sure the valve fit properly and sent me both the soft and firm vavling. I ended up useing the firm set. It was all designed on their dyno to make sure the curves look good. They are a specialist and use to do a lot of custom work, their focus is dual sports and vintage race bikes. The vintage bikes work similar to out beloved Harley.

I didn't see any HD's listed, what was the cost of the springs and valves?

Nice work! I just purchased an '05 FXDi as well. Digging into it to make sure I know what mods were made previously, then will start work on it.

sounds like fun, this one looks like it was stock except for exhaust. After looking closer I think the owner put it back to stock before trading. After putting the BS the bike runs better and no signs of running lean. So I figure it was flashed for stage one and the privious owner just swapped the stock cleaner back on. The air filter looked brand new.

Yeah, I know the previous owner put in heated grips. I hope he didn't cut up the original wiring too badly. Also I bet I am in for the cam tensioner upgrade. We'll see how much I have to undo before I start making the bike mine.
