Default Big Bore

So i've been looking threw the jp cycle website and see they sell these big bore kits and it has made me curious, I see they have a 131ci kit for my bike (2006 FXDI dyna) what all goes into doing these swaps and why is it most people dont jump on the biggest kit they can sense they all seem to be priced the same, I know building the stroker motors there are certian stroker kits you didnt want to use because certian strokes put to much pressure on the sidewall causing the engines longevity to be crap

It seems these kits just swap the piston and jug without changing the stroke anyone gone to large cubes with there motors? heres the kit ive seen on the site

Is a 131 what you want? What's your goals? And much do you want to spend?

Well looking at all the kits they are all the same price weather its a 96ci kit or the 131 kit so if I am going to do any of these kits I may as well have the most cubes I can get I dont have any specific goals but my dyna is going to be my ripper as I am getting a street glide so I might as well sqeeze every bit of power I can get out of the dyna

Dunno if this helps or not but I did a 117 se, one of the reasons is cause I wanted the biggest big bore, bolt on kit that HD sold. I love it, but if HD had a 124 kit or a 131, I wouldn't have gone for it. My fxdls hauls ***, it's still decent on fuel mileage, I hope it's reliable, it still has SOME street manners, and parts are a lot easier to find for my 117, than a 131 (quite frankly, I'm ashamed to say I've never even heard of). So what EXACTLY do you want out of your bike, if this big bore has problems, do you have something else to ride? All things to think about.

As far as I'm aware on a 2006 TC88 engine the most CI you can get without boring the case or stroking it is a 98" with being able to fit in the stock chassis and gas tank

I looked at the kit in your link and with the stroke on your TC88 it would get you to 113" but I think you would have to bore your case to get the 4.250 cylinders on it

incorrect.....

the 2006 dyna can be brought to 95inch, 97, inch, or 98 inch depending upon the kit for bolt on cylinders. To get a bigger motor one will need to spilt and bore the case, also a longer stroke crank. If you so desire a 124 kit can be purchased but it is going to require boring as will many other sizes. We have many vendors here that can accomplish this. I used veetwin performance (prodrag). But there are plenty others, Hillside performance, darkhorse......excetera

I did not see that so basicly im better off just pulling the motor out and selling the whole TC88 that I have in the bike now with 13,700 miles and buying a T124 motor from S&S thats already making 129HP and 133 TQ then it will just be a one time thing and be done with it
