Anyone removed main wiring harness/loom out of the frame backbone???
Long story short.... I am looking to see if anyone has ever removed/replaced the entire main wiring harness/loom out of the backbone of their Dyna?
There is a section in the service manual about the main harness but it says to basically disconnect every damn connector on the bike first, before the main loom can be pulled out the *** end of the bike.
I already know to tie some rope/string to the front end of the harness before pulling it out so I have something to pull it back up the backbone when I am finished.
My bike is already mostly apart. Tank is off. All front connections are disconnected except for the ignition connector in neck. My rear struts and fender are gone. Battery box removed. Electrical caddy is loose. I am going to remove rear wheel to give more room to the backbone exit.
Hoping for any other tips you all can provide before I keep going. Maybe only certain connections need to be disconnected to allow the main loom to slide out???
Thanks.

LOL. The thought of the whole thing sucks. My OCD is why I am pulling the whole loom out. I may have damaged some wiring (while tapping backbone for modified rear tank mount) and I will not sleep properly until I know for certain that harness is good end to end.
I have thought about using my multimeter to do continuity tests but there are a **** ton of wires to test and it will probably take same amount of time to just pull it all out because I would have to anyway if one of those continuity tests should fail.
