2017 Lowrider S issues
#11
There is a spot between the inner primary case and the shift linkage (see arrow in photo) where a piece of gravel or other foreign object can get stuck and jam the shift linkage so it won't move. If the object is small enough, it will eventually fall out and the shifter will work again. I had this happen on my Lowrider once after I had ridden it only a few hundred miles. In my case, I had to dig the rock out with my fingers to get the shifter working again.
It's possible this is what happened to the OP.

Crotchroocket guy here too. Hey, I can tell u when shifting use pressure and solid shifts. The light tap dance stuff of the crotch rockets don't work with these. A few pulls off freeways when new and attempts to downshift left it feeling like it was stuck in 6th. Another clutch pull and more pressure on shifts remedied the issue for me. From then on zero issues.
