Default Opinions of price for my FXDLI 05

I have an 05 FXDLI, has about 24k on it, had the timing gears put in, some extras, Lindby linbar, commander 3 has newer tires and had a stuck lifter fixed at 2k cost. Runs great always garage kept, no wrecks or damage. I was asking 5500 but was offered 4700. I just don't know that seems kind of low but I know bikes are a bit of a hard sell right now.

Buyers don't care much about recent repair expenses or the value of normal modifications. They'll ding you for things that need fixin', tho. 4700 seems in the ballpark for my area. If you want more, hold out for more.

I hate to sell it but my wifes parents are in bad shape. Mother in a facility for Alzheimer father in bad health and we don't seem to have the time to ride.

I wouldn't pay over $5000 for it, and with as much love as this one looks like it needs, I think $4700-4900 is reasonable.

Its true. BUT, I have been looking for a while. usual price around me for FXD pre 06 was 4,500-5500 give or take depending on their mods. Saw one for 9000 but it was a 5k mile, completely stock all original, owner thought it was gold type bike. My $3k buy was from a family cleaning out the garage and didn't want the bike as it had belonged to a family member who had passed. Call it a barn find if you will. They had posted it for $3,500, but offered $3k cash and they took it.

But average price that seems to make them sell is 4500. That's what I was seeing anyway. Problem is the newer ones (06-10) are selling from 6500-8000, which in the scheme of things when you are looking at financing, isn't a big difference per month. So a lot of people looking at Dynas are newer riders, or new to Harley, and they see that FI, and 96" and 6 speed and jump on those.

Actually better yet, the PO put some "Chrome" Money into that bike...for instance the Chrome Engine/Trans covers, Dash panel (among other chrome) and then the Tachometer weren't original on that model
