2006 Dyna Lowrider Wheel and 180 Tire
I have a 2006 Dyna Low Rider with the Chrome Spoked Smoothly wheel. It is a 17 inch in diameter with a 5.5 inch width (17 X 5.5). It is notthe stock wheel.
I keep seeing post about Dyan only having 4.5 inch width wheels in the 180 Wide tire posts. Am I missing something?
Is the stock wheel (17 X 4.5)?
Since it is 5.5 inches in width could I not run any 180 tire I wanted to?

RE: 2006 Dyna Lowrider Wheel and 180 Tire
The stock 06 dyna rim is 17, 4.5. With yours being 5.5 inches wide it allows you alot more tire choices. There are alot of tires from 180 55 17 to 200 55 17 that would fit your rim. The only problem is that most of the tires that size are for sport bikes, which meens that they are made for lighter bikes and they are much softer. There have been people that have put a metzler 200 on a newer dyna with no other modification than changing the rim, which you have. I would be interested to see if a 200 would fit.
