RE: Saddlebags on a 2006 FXDI ?
I just put the HD 90369-06A bags on my 07 FXD Thursday and love the way they look. Not sure if you are looking at throw overs or what but these are bolt ons. Not hard to put on and they look like they belong, not like some bags I have seen that look like an afterthought. I am at work now or I could put up a pic for ya.

Has anyone seen some good looking saddlebags that fit a 2006 Superglide?
When the wife comes along, I need the extra room for junk.

First is forum member PowerCobra 06 FXDC
Second is my machine 06 FXD
I believe these are the same bags that RN referenced,
less the reflector.

I have these on mine. Lots of space and extra pockets. I found I had to punch some exta holes to take up the slack in the yoke. The bags do zip off and on pretty easy. It helps t get some with a slant to match the angle of the shocks (these did not perfectly match but it was close enough). These did require rear turn signal relocation but if you are going to do a lot of 2up riding it is worth it to use a larger bag. You MUST get some type of bag support to keep it out of the rear wheel and to give the bags somthing solid to attach to.

If you are wanting to look at a better option, look at getting some bags to mount semi-permanently. I bought some Easy Brackets (tm) for use with these bags. I left off the yoke (or you can cut off the yokeon other models) and put in some aluminum slats tostiffen up the back of the bag then bolted them to the Easy Brackets. With this set up you do not need supports that have to stay in place if you take the throw over set up off. On the plus side soft bags do not get nearly as damaged as hard ones do if your bike falls over.

Corbin makes a great set. Called the FleetLiner. I cqn attest to them being nice bags, but at $1500, they are pricey.

Here is another thread on the same subject. I'm getting the W&M Deluxe Slants because the compacts will barely fit a coffee thermos. It will be a tight fit without moving the taillights.
