I switched to the Sylvania Silverstar...much, much beter than stock. I decided to start with the cheapest remedy and work up form there if I had to.....but I'm very satisfied with the Star and will continue to use, unless I start having burn out issues.

I too use the Silverstar although I haven't had the chance to use it that much (cold, snow, etc) but so far I'm satisfied and hopefully won't run into the burn-out syndrome.

Been there, done that...the Sylvania Silverstars burn out quick, I only got about 4 months out of each (2) that I tried. Best bang for the buck is the Osram 70/60W Rally Bulbs, bright but don't pull too many amps that will fry your wires. Osram also makes the original Silverstar which are good too. They're available from some specialty shops (try google) and there's a vendor on eBay selling them.
same bulb I use in my adjure , love it. Get mine forn here

think thats how you quote someone else

anyway Matkiwi, got any other pics of your front end with the bigger bucket (and maybe no windshield?) Ive been thinking about getting a bigger light, think the stock light should stay on a sportster, just looks too small IMO

ironically, the only thing i like about the stckwas the brightness LOL but im used to old fls and chops that had lightsakin to riding with a candle.

thanks

I have a 2007 FXDB and went to PIAA H-4 extreme white bulb it was twice as bright than stock. Lasted 4 months and burned high beam. Went to the blue PIAA and it doesn't seem as extreme white that will blind you when it hits big road signs. I try to use low beam during day as high uses more juice and creates more heat. With white light I seen every nook, crack cranny and rock on pavement. With Blue my eyes don't pick up things until my front tire hits them. Most Harley shops carry the PIAA bulb but probably stealerships don't as it is not a OEM Harley part made in TIAWAN/CHINA.
