Default Gas cap question

I want to replace the standard gas caps on my bob with a pair of pop up ones.

My question is if I remove the cap with the fuel gauge in it and replace it with a pop up cap without a gauge, will the fuel low indicator in the speedo still work? my dealer can't give me an answer [:@]

It looks like strillridin has the Harley flush mount kit on his bike which is on my bike also. Like others on this forum have said, the low fuel light is tied to the tank float. If you use any other aftermarket caps they shouldn't affect the light.

Well, you still have a fuel gauge of sorts via the LED lights. The more lights, the more gas.
