RE: Handlebars Mini Apes vs. Buckhorns
The Buckhorns never felt natural to me, my hands never actually used the whole grip, only part of it, while the rest of my hands searched for comfort.
Put mini apes on this winter, no comparison, hands fall right into place, the whole grip gets used, best move I made so far.

Here's my 2008 Low Rider with Mini Apes and Straight Risers.
Here's another look at my old 1992 Low Rider with Buckhorns and Stock Risers.
Something else for you to consider. The Mini Apes are 1-1/4", while the Buckhorns are only 1". The extra thickness looks better and makes the job of concealing wires much easier. They also look and feel great. The Buckhorns have a "narrow" grip; Mini Apes put your elbows out more. Only problem is I'm starting to wish I had gone with regular height Ape Hangers.

RE: Handlebars Mini Apes vs. Buckhorns
i tried the buckhorns and it was real uncomfortable for me. i was lucky enough to try out several styles before i settle on the ape-bars, man it made a huge different on my shoulders and my wrists. but the end result is your comfort, try several positions before you settle on the one you want to buy. good luck and post your pics after. ride safe!
