I have a 2008 fxdc and want a mustang studded seat but am not sure if i should get the touring model or the regular model. Its hard to decide when i dont have any to look at to compare. Any help here from mustang seat users?

 

I'm very happy with mine.2 up classic. got it from ACM under $250. IMO the wide would be too big looking on the fxdc.

I have the touring seat wife and I love it can ride on it all day.

 

I have the mustang vintage the pillion is off the bike and i swap it for the rack on 2 ups,

no studs, but gives you a look at the style on the fxdc

Have the Standard with a pillion, but never use the pillion since my wife will not ride. If you're going to tour, get the driver's back rest. I didn't and wish I had.

 

I have a Mustand solo...not the biggest size (too big for the bike IMHO) I think I have the 13.5 inch- next to the largest which is plenty wide..and I'm a big guy. Love it and it looks good too..I like the studded look.

 

I've got the wide vintage solo with backrest.Looking down at it, it sticks out about as far as the outside of the upper shock mount covers. It looks a little bulky and it does sit you up a little taller, but it's very comfortable and as far as I know you can get the backrest only on the wide ones.

 

I got both. The Vintage is what you see in the sig pic.

Dude, I just installed my 5 mins. ago...... Came in the mail today and I installed as soon as I got home tonight. I went with the vintage wide with rider backrest....... I spent almost a week trying to decide......I finally decided I can always leave the backrest at home if I don't like it, well let me tell ya, I don't thinkit will be left anywhere....... I freaking love my new seat, solo is awesome and super comfortable and backrest is great. I highly reccomend getting it, you definitely won't regret it. I just ordered the passenger wide pillion to go with it. BTW, I got a great deal off of Craigslist but there are a few on e-bay, I'd check both.
