Default Lowrider indicator lights

Many members have asked me how I managed to get 1-1/4" apes and traditional risers on my Lowrider. The stock bars have a handlebar clamp with integrated indicator lights. The problem is relocating the indicator lights so you have more bar/riser options.

Take a look at the pic below. I replaced the dash mounting bolts with LED lighted bolts from Custom Dynamics. Would you believe they are the same size and thread pitch! The left LED is NEUTRAL; the right is OIL. http://www.customdynamics.com/led_button_head_bolts.htm

I wanted to get rid of that handlebar clamp so bad that I had to make a small sacrifice. I have no turn signal indicators. But, the good news is that I can see the turn signals now that they are on the sliders. So, I don't really need indicators to tell me if I've left the turn signal on.

And, as for the high-beam indicator; don't really need it.

When I get the dough, I want to get mirrors from Badlands that have the digital guages and indicator lights in the glass. Turn signals are on the back of the mirrors, so I can clean up the forks, too. http://www.badlandsmotorcycleproduct...l_mirrors.html

If anyone else found another way to solve the indicator light problem on a Lowrider, I'd like to hear from you. And, pics would be a plus.

Some pictures of this mod are attached.

Here's my thread. I just relocated the stock lights to the panel. It's an 02 so it's a different panel than yours though.

Thread didn't show. Please try to post it again. I'm interested in doing the same with my LR. Thanks.

Hey 20LowRider02-- I took the liberty of looking up your thread and putting the link here. So, it looks like you added LED bolts for turn signals and high beam. Right?

Nope, I just drilled 5 holes in the dash for the original lights. Then siliconed the back of them to hold them in. All in all it was a couple hour / day project. I used all the original parts.

I've seen guys only use the oil light and the Neutral. Turn signals are your preference if you want them.. I've seen some guys install them in the backs of the turn signal light housings. For the high beam...let it get dark and you'll know if it's on!! But I decided to keep all 5 lights.

I just found this thread with some great ways to solve this problem. I'm thinking about changing my set up now.

Righteous, thanks for bringing up that old thread. Kzad definately has the best looking setup for the indicator lights. Here is the link for the lights that he put on. Timmer
