&nbsp\\;I've used M1 20w50 V-Twin since 99" with no problems, I now have it in both bikes.

i run oil in my motor and primary, then 75/90 gear lube in my tranny! much smoother! i change my oil, primary, and trans all at the same time every time... every 3500- 4000 depending how i am riding it and what type of weather conditions i have been in as well

Default One more post on oil...

I've been reading alot of posts on here about engine oil so I don't want to beat a dead horse but just would like everyones opinion before I make my final decision on what oil to use.

I am thinking I am going to go with Redline syn 20w-50. It seems from everything I have read on here and other websites it is the best. I talked to the service manager at the local HD dealer and he said don't waist the money on syn unless you live in Death Valley. My opinion is that it would be a worthy investment to go with a good syn oil like Redline.

What do you guys think?

If that is your choice, then go with it. If you decide you don't like the results, try a different oil mfg. next change. I use amsoil and I like it.

The way I see oil arguments are like chocolate vs. vanilla or coke vs. pepsi. Everyone has the one they like best and it is just a personal preference. I'm sure Redline is great oil.

the bike is your personal investment, that said ive used Royal purple, mobile one, gastrol and Amsoil all have great additive packs in them. I dont like Redline oil because it literally looks dirty when you open the bottle to pour it in, but thats not to say its not a quality product.

I dont care if the oil will go 15k between changes, i want it clean and ill change it as much as i like, i want all the high dollar stuff on the inside to stay shinny!
