Default How can I fix slipping handlebars

I have installed 10" bar on may FXDX.&nbsp\\; I have tighten the hell out of the riser bolt but are not wanting to strip them what can I do to tighten them up.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Thanks for any help MDodson

Try a piece of emery cloth cut to size in the risers, top and bottom, this will stop any slippage.&nbsp\\;

Good idea! I used small cuts of screen door mesh with my bars (they are not knurled)...it works pretty good, however, if I go over large bumps, the bars still sometimes move a tad. I'll have to try this instead. Thanks!!

Not sure but sounds like you may be clamping riser clamp against riser with not enough on the bar. Do as instructed by others. Have to have something to fill the gap to apply pressure to the bars.

i know guys that have put sand on them then tightened it down, i guess it works pretty good... drunk conversation in a bar in FL brought it up... never tired it myself
