SE 203 Cam Kit
#25458-06 has any one had this kit installed . if so how big or small is the difference in performance?after i got the kit home and inspected i noticed the tops of the genuine bags had already been torn off.the cams are stamped SE-203 so they are genuine but should i be worried?

RE: SE 203 Cam Kit
Hi Rasta,
I have them in with the 95 kit and v&h big shots , great increase in grunt /torque . Only running in at mo ,but yes will pull that 6th gear now at much lower speed, before in you were going under 55mph -60 you would start slowing down . I know !!!and dont lug it about in high gear but are just quoting a noticable difference which is good on UK A roads
Have you the se cam plates with these cams for the 06 , your standards are no good, i waited 3 months for these and they are rocking horse poo at mo .

Hi Rastas,
On inspection of my work done receipt , Sorry to waste your time !!! the number i gave you was for the SE cam kit pre 06 , they are the SE one,s that was with the stage 2 kit which was on spl winter offer , but no good for 06 dyna,s because of cam chain/plate change . My dealer in november was unaware of this ,and should not have offered me the deal .
This mean,t that i was waiting all winter until 2 weeks ago for 29873-06 the SE203 kit you have got !!!! to be released from Harley to finish the job
You have done well to get that kit !!! because my dealer said that after mine were delivered it was showing currently not available online.
I have just been on US hd site and typing in the part numbers show no results .
But yes worth doing and you really notice difference

RE: SE 203 Cam Kit
I had the 1550cc/SE203 hop-up done at the same time back in November last year. The difference it has made to the bike is huge - an improvement in acceleration, top speed and all round ridability. I haven't regretted having it done for one minute. The flexibility in top gear now is extremely useful - brisk overtakes from 70mph, for example, can be achieved in no time.
Well chuffed.
What next to do though....

Thanks Gromit !! your the one that got me keen on the idea , then the friendly staff at the dealer with the offer .
Just running in at the moment , but notice the grunt already .
If your ever coming down to Kent , give us a shout , ie mayday run etc

I found my motor's slightly lumpier up to around 2750rpm but from around the mid-3000's it really gets a shift on. The guys I tend to go out riding with own stuff like BMW R1100S's/Triumph Tiger 955 etc and I've had no trouble at all keeping up. In fact they've been somewhat surprised to see how well this Harley goes. The DX is my first Big Twin and I'm just loving it.
Definitely have to meet up at some stage - if we get a spell of decent weather I'll give you a shout.
Which dealer did your conversion? Thames Valley HD did mine and made a superb job.
