It's strange reading these replies... my dealership actually looks and hopes for warranty work when I bring my bike in. LOL!

Can't believe it. I've lost the bottom nut, and the top one was loose. Haven't actually run the bike in yet. Still got another 17 miles to go. To the dealer.....

This has actually made be a bit paranoid. If these nuts have come undone, what else is gonna worka loose in the next 500 miles.

Default Muffler Mount

Same thing happened on my 2009 Fat Bob. The dealer extracted and replaced the sheared bolts, and also had to replace the transmission side cover because the bracket resting on it cut a groove into it. All the work was done under warranty.

It's absolutely NOT an isolated incident!! I've had my 2010 Fat Bob about 3 months and had to take it in right after I returned from the Austin ROT Rally because the bolt in question had broken. It's now been almost 3 week and I still don't have my ride back. The are fixing it under warranty but sure aren't in any hurry (Bedford Harley Dealer) to get it repaired and back to me! I'm pissed and will talk with the Svc Mgr tomorrow and see if I can build a fire under their butts.

Two fo my muffler bracket bolts have sheared off and the other nut has come off from my Fat Bob - after a dealer had checked them.

Has anyone had this happen on a Wide Glide or on any other Dyna? The Wide Glide has the same exhaust. How many miles of these bikes?

This isn't isolated to Fat Bobs. I have a 2011 Wide Glide (only 1700 miles) with the same exhaust and was putting my SE slipons back on after installing Cycle Shack baffles and noticed the bottom nut gone and the top one loose. Locktite on both now but that isn't going to prevent shearing in the future. Have to keep an eye on them now.
