What size is the biggest rear wheel and tire I can put on an 04 Low Rider?

look at the clearance between the belt and tire - and that probably answers some of your question.

if you keep the stock wheel - you can put a 160 on there (Metzeler).

If you want a wider tire than160 - you will need a wider wheel, and then must first address the belt clearance, space the pulley off the wheel, then get a narrower belt. that will be quickly followed by the tire/fender clearance. so as mentioned - it all depends on how much work you are willing to put in

If I'm remembering correctly, the stock Dunlops run VERY close to the belt. I think the Metzlers 160 is about the same width as the dunlop 150.

Is this still a fact? I am needing new tires and would like to put the widest rear tire I can on a stock rim 16x3???

If its the belt/swing arm then you can use a belt pulley spacer. If I remember correctly a 1/4 inch is max ,on Dyna.'s 3/16 could be better.
I use a 160 at times but i prefer a 150 for traction.
