Default has anyone taken out the fuel pump out of their tank

iam about to put a wdg tank on my streetbob. so i will havee to take out the fuel pump from my streetbob tank and install it into the wdg tank. i have done alot to bikes and stuff but i have never changed the fuel pump and have not look at the book yet. since it is in the garage and its cold out there and i was on the site so i figures i would ask. any special tools or any good tips on how to unistall and install the fuel pump. thanks jackyl

It was a serious pain in the *** for me. But Jackyl, you got mad skills. Just don't lose any of the pieces and you should be fine. Don't ask how I know...

If ya do it make sure you check the hoses for pin holes, especcially the high pressure side....they seem to be a problem...changed one on my FB..wasn't to bad!

I was going to post my info, but was beat to it.

If you have any specific questions, hit me up. Fuel pump slides forward to remove.

The hardest part on mine was disconnection the hose that feeds out of the tank...basically becuase the plastic clip didn't want to unclip.
