Question FXDF Fat Bob 103ci vs 110ci

I am a new owner of a 2009 FXDF Fat Bob. I have a VH Big Radius 2 into1 with SE Heavy Breather being installed on the bike.

I contacted my HD dealer/service department and requested to go to the 110ci. First question I was asked was why I wanted the 110ci. I replied I want more speed and power.

The service department told me I would see better gains for the cost going with the 103ci. He said infact the 103ci would be faster because the 110ci has bigger restrictions with emissions with the 110ci.

Here is their specials going on there and it looks like the 103ci is not a SE kit. Because the other kits mention Screamin Eagle. I just would like input on this.

Here are their specials:

SERVICE SPECIAL #3Stage I Big Bore Kits for all Big Twins starting at $1,125.00 installed!!!02/28/2009SERVICE SPECIAL #4Screamin' Eagle Stage II 1550 Big Bore Kit. Fits 01' to 06' EFI Softail, 02' to 06' Touring and 04' to 05' Dyna models. Winter special installed : $1,493.38!!02/28/2009SERVICE SPECIAL #5Screamin' Eagle Stage II Big Bore Kit. Fits 07' and later EFI twin cam models. Winter special installed: $1,579.92!!02/28/2009SERVICE SPECIAL #6Screamin' Eagle High Output 1550 Big Bore Kits starting at $2,868.08!!02/28/2009SERVICE SPECIAL #7Super High Output Big Bore 103ci. Fits 07' and 08' twin cams. Winter special installed: $3,673.00!!

Mine is the #7 and it does not mention Screaming Eagle. I believe the service guy was saying that this is better setup than the SE 103ci. I need to call to get my questions answered. Just wanted to throw what I believe I heard the first time.

I just bought a month ago a new Fat Bob. My dealer installed the 103" SHO build using all Screaming Eagle parts, except for the D&D Fat Cats.
It makes 42 RWHP more than a stock 96" and 22 ft lb over stock.

Thanks guys for the replies. I could be getting the SE 103 thats how little in the dark I am right now. I'm a little uncertain what I purchased compared to one from the other. I told the service guy that I wanted a 110ci and he could have taken my money and that would have been it. He however talked me down to something less expensive and said I would have better preformance. The guy in parts said the Super High Output Big Bore 103ci would leave the SE 110ci standing still.

Thoughts?

He is right. The stock CVO 110 SE FatBob that I test rode did not impress me at all. For all the extra $$$$$. Quite happy with my 103 build. Besides, to go 110", the case needs bored out for the much bigger pistons, weakening the space between the two big jugs..........

Here is crappy video from last week of the beast accelerating to about 112mph......

Pics of the crankcase between the jugs. Did not want to weaken it by boring the case out........

I went with a stage 2 103" about 2 months ago, it wasn't a standard kit but pieced together using se parts for the way I ride. As it sits right now I putting out 94hp & 110tq .Total cost was around $2400 w/parts,labor,tune and had my heads&jugs diamond cut (show cut). But I got 15% off all my parts and after breaking it in,the tune was basically a freebie. With the extra cost of splitting the cases I would go for a good 103" build before the 110". A lot of good info on here regarding builds with SE parts and aftermarket, but get parts that work together and have it built for your type of riding.

i'd like to see that dyno sheet! you'll need major head work to acheive that kind of gain.
better off to go with a reputable indy or site sponsor and use your stock cylinders bored out and porting your stock heads with bigger intake valves.
for less then $3500 i had this done by fairbanks motors and build included se roller rockers/push rods, se clutch spring, 10:5 to 1 wiseco's, woods 7h cams, ported stock heads with bigger intakes. this included all tear down and assembly.
109.9/118 on a 07
fatcat exhaust and aftermarket tuner/airfilter and backing plate i had on my 74.4/90.1 stage 1 setup.
