Default handle bar wiring connector question.

I have been through the my ape install thread , and i have gotten to my wiring, (including pulling the connector off the switch(i think)(opps)

my problem is my connector isnt like the thread.

Anyone have nay idea how to get this connector apart?

I am guessing everyone just cuts and solders at this point it would probably take less time...

thanks, Eric

need a pick set - a straight and bent work best for me

and beforehand LABEL LABEL LABEL - its tedious and time consuming (hence why labor for ape installs is so much)

ill post a god thread on this if I find it

They pop out very easily, I use one of them super tiny standard screw drivers to flip up the tiny tab inside. Look real close, you'll see them!

I just did mine this weekend. Take a needle nose plier and grab the two d holes in the center and pull up about 1/2 inch, then take a large paper clip and stick in the holes behind each pin and push in all the way down and pull the wire out gently.

Ya that's better, I suck at explaining things! I'm better at doing as I go & do it again no prob, but don't ask me how I did it. LOL, probably why I'm a heavy equip. operator!

thanks, that was it exactly, and my pic didn't fit so it just locked it again, but a small paperclip works great... thanks.
