With that backrest and the HD docking points on the struts, you could tie down just about anything and still keep your paint safe.

The backrest is made out of 1.165 THK 4130 Steel which is a High Strength Low Alloy Hot Rolled Steel. We tested the bracket at R.I.T. (A local University) and the failure point hit at 600lbs of pressure. Under Normal riding conditions this backrest will hold up as long as its not modified i.e. changing the bend or removing any material.

Hope this helps.

I like the way this attaches. I have been needing a backrest as my girlfriend likes to ride and my new lepara daytona sport is angled back and makes it hard for her to stay on comfortably. Actually, the seat itself is uncomfortable for her but that is for another thread and that is not my problem . Anyway..... I am concerned with the looks of this on a low profile 2up. It looks good with the pillions, but does anyone have any pictures of it on a low profile seat? I checked their website and didn't find any. Also, wish it were available in black......

My pillion is considered low profile, it is 2" thick.
The haulen *** click advertisement window to the right of this thread shows it on a night train with a badlander. Located right there between fuel moto and doherty.

That is an option we are looking to have hopefully around early spring. We sampled Black Chrome but hear people saying its not black enough so now we're gonna look into powder coat as well. Unfortunately only chrome as this point

there is nothing to sanding the chrome and painting with epoxy enamel or getting it powdercoated for 20-30 bucks.
