Default ’09 Street Bob Seat

I love the look of the ’09 seat. It seems relatively comfortable compared to my stock Nightster seat, but not quite an equal of the Mustang Vintage Solo that I put on my Nightster.

Anybody put some miles on their ’09 seat? How did it work out?

Pictures of ‘09s with aftermarket seats?

I rarely see anyone that is particularly proud of or happy with the comfort of the stock seats. I used to run an 07 SB solo on mine and it wasn't good for the long haul and neither is my stock FXDC seat. They feel fine at first but don't get you very far before your butt is sore. Of course, I paid good money for my lepera bare bones and it's the same way. But I like the looks and feel much better. Just have to stop and stretch every hour or so.

I went with the Le Pera Silhouette seat...it's about 1" lower and farther back than the stock seat, but the stock seat is more comfortable.

I put about 500 miles on my '09 Street Bob, with the stock seat before the G/F wanted to ride,... switched to the low profile badlander two seater.. the stock solo seat is way more comfortable!.. but the rule was, if i got to buy the bike, she got to ride it whenever....

literally ride it or ride on the back with you?? SBRob I really like the look of that seat, I might have to invest in one of them.

It's a good seat for city riding, but for any highway riding over an hour, the stock seat goes back on the bike...

My original '05 FXD seat was really comfortable, but I don't need a 2-up seat. I really like the '09 styling, so put it on my bike ... I only have about 600-700 miles on the new seat, but have ridden it about 1-1/2 hours at a pop and it seems to be fairly comfortable. It is firm, though; so, if you're used to the seat adding some shock absorption, you will be disappointed.

It is not a straight up bolt on, but I figured out a 'work around' ... you know me!
