Default warranty question

I have a friend that bought an 08 bob that has a salvage title is the warranty still good on this bike? I told him I dont think it is but thought i would pose the question here. He does not have any problems with it but you never know when something might happen to it. It has had the forks and trees replaced and the primary cover and turn signals on that side other than that there was nothing wrong with the bike it only had about 6000 on the bike when the guy rear ended someone.

A question to pose to the moco, but I"ll bet dollars to donuts they will flat refuse that one.

If they can tell it has a salvage title then the warranty is void. If they don't know they will service it. Same with cars. I'm sure they run the vins on bikes before warranty work, so he might half to pay to have any warranty work done.

Thats what I thought too. I will tell him to go to the moco and pose that question and see what they have to say.

The Moco is not likely any different in their warranty policies than the auto manufacturers. If the servicing dealer runs the vin, they will see the salvage title and deny warranty repairs on the unit.

Tell him to call the dealer and ask them to check warranty dates. He can tell them he just bought it and wants to know how much time is left on the warranty. This way your more likely to find out if they are aware of the title status. If you go straight for the "my bike has a salvage title does it have warranty" question you know they will say no.

Thats a good idea they may not notice the title status it has an out of state title and he is getting a texas title soon so maybe with the new title it will not show up as salvage.
