That looks good! Did you just cut down your stock fender or get a new one and chop it. Are your rear signals also the brake lights? If i swap out my rear end, i wanna change over to the signal/brake light like my nightster had and go with a side mount license plate. I saw a nice set of Kurakyn (sp?) Unicea rear signals in a magazine. Not sure if they will fit the bill.

Does anyone know if you can get strut covers that aren't so long like the stock FB ones? I would like to have the rear signals mounted in the spot where the stock FB ones bolt on towards the rear. I've kinda taken the chrome route with my FB, so I would like to keep with that for the strut covers.

Also would like to keep my detachable backrest functional. I don't really ride 2-up, but got it more for a convenient place to tie down some bags for longer trips.

Would also like to switch over to a solo seat (with a passenger pillion option) perhaps the Lepera Bare Bones or Mustang Tripper Solo.

 

I do beleive the rear fender from a Bob or other Dyna would fit. I have a set strut covers off of my 08 Bob if you want them, make me a deal.

 

I did exactly what you are talking about...09 street bob fender in place of the bobtail...it all bolts together even with the stock wheel.

 

Did you have to put any spacers between the struts and fender? I've read a few posts on here saying that the street bob fender is approx 1.5 inches too narrow.
