Default Difficulty on bolting on 2014 bob motor to a 1999 superglide frame.

Got into a motorcycle accident. Bike is totaled but engine and trans is still in good shape. I have a ton of money into the motor and don’t want to have it go to waste. Is it possible to mount trans and motor to frame. If so how difficult. I know anything is possible with the right equipment.
Any buyable mounts and brackets to make it easy?

Thanx

Frame was changed in 2006...if I read your post, you have the motor and transmission from the 2014...why not find a 06+ frame to put it into, then you know it fits without mods...not sure if the 6speed will fit into the 5 speed frame but I’m sure it’s been done..

Ya that’s what I’ve been reading. Now on the lookout for one at a good price.

Do do you know about other parts such as chain drive. Shocks. Crash bars. Oil cooler.
If those are compatible

As long as you stick with 06+ yrs should be fine...I’m not familiar with every change made between the yrs, which is why I suggest staying with what is known to fit...

While I don't know for sure, it would not surprise me if the 14 motor drops right into the 99 frame. Later TC bagger motors fit into early TC bagger frames. The motor mounts are the same between the 2. I'd go for a 2000 up tho as the brakes will be better and the wheel bearings are sealed. The will likely vibrate a little more as they added weight to the frame in 06. 20 lbs?
