Default Heavy breather, oil leaking?

Hey all,

So I've had a heavy breather for about a year now, but recently I've noticed oil (actual oil, not filter oil) on the breather back plate, breather plugs, battery cover and some on the rear rocker cover.

I figured it was coming from the breather plugs so I took them out and the o-rings were shot. Also, there was oil inside. Is this normal? I replaced the o rings, but I thought this plug was just air, and dont understand why oil would be in there.

Any advice would be appreciated. my only thought is too much oil?

Default too much

Used to work at a dealer and when summer used to roll around we would see this all the time. If you top off an oil change all the way there is too much oil once it gets hot and starts pummpin. The only place for it to go is out your breather and all down the side of your bike. That is why we always filled bike a quarter of half quart short on oil changes. Most of the guys working on bikes for more than a few months hear about this or have learned the hard way. Anyway nothing wrong jsut to much oil wont hurt anything.

Yah I've checked the oil, warm check, and I'm 1 mark under the full. I guess I didnt account for more heat. I'll drain a little out to give it some more space.

Thanks guys
