I have searched a few times and found a many discussions on ordering the mid vs. foward mounts. I have 09 forward mount and am giving some thought to converting to a mid mount. Has anyone done this yet and if so the cost either personally or from the dealer to accomplish?

I had this done on my 09 Fatbob when I ordered it here in the UK

You will need a new inner and outer primary cover and a replacement part on the exhaust so that the brake lever fits without hitting the exhaust, new brake and gear linkages.

Cost over here was £800 so roughly 1300 dollars

 

Thinking about this also. Somewhere in this thread there is a guy that did it himself for about $300.

I put mid pegs on and kept the forward controls. Helped out a ton. Easy and cheap.
