What would I need to put the Fatboy or Roadking front-end on my Lowrider and still have the neck lock? Thanks for the help MDodson

 

I used a 2005 Fat Boy front end on mine and to make the lock work I fabbed a plate that I bolted to the lower tree. I figured out the distance between the plate and the fork lock and cut a bushing so it would slide in. From here it was just pure dumb luck. I started with the intentions of tacking the bushing to the plate incase I missed but for some stupid reason welded it solid. Got lucky and it was just right. I have a picture in a thread I posted on the conversion, some of the info will help you but some will not. There are differences from my 06 to the earlier bikes so keep that in mind as you look at this.

I put a new style Fat Boy on my '07 SB. I viewed Ackman's info. And asked him questions. It takes a lot of grinding. I haven't done the fork lock yet. I will do that when I do the tear down for paint and powder coat. You can see some of my details in my Photo Album.
