The block puts the headlight out front a bit more, which I always thought would look better either with or without a fairing, so for my tastes, this is excellent.
Unless you are hot to drop $350 plus shipping, it's pretty easy to do this yourself. I ran a narrow glide (p/n 06-041) Ness, with a little trim off the bottom on a 2010 FXDC. I used 2 cheap turn signal relocates (ebay), 2 collet struts (Rifle Fairing), 7 stainless bolts and nuts (hardware store) and piece of aluminum (laying in the shop). Total out of pocket was about $240. You can recreate the dark tint with plasti-dip on the inside of the shield (bout $5 a can). I moved my headlight up and out, but I'm sure you could keep it low and out if that's your preference.

I went with this black cherry candy color. That Spraymax 2k clear is amazing!

Ok. It's done. I'm feeling it. The pictures don't do it justice though. You can see the brush marks in real life much better than the pics.

The fairing didn't work out so well. The paint won't stick to it no matter what I do, it I'll just paint it black for the time being and roll with it.

Finally got some pretty decent pics of the new ride. FXRT fairing going to happen eventually, but a hot Cam and chain conversion are the priority.

Its Duplicolor Metalcast on top of the clear adhesive primer. Almost all auto parts stores stock it. It's billed as a 'anodizing' paint, but it's really just a candy.

It went on nice, but it's a runner so you have to spray light coats and work your way up to medium coats at the most. It's a very easy job though if you have a little patience.
