I think I'm going to have to purchase this kit. It solves so many problems. From an aesthetic standpoint, this is a beautiful fairing. I like the height but also the front to back length is nice, and the contours have a nice flow to them. The dark tint to the shield is very appropriate. The block puts the headlight out front a bit more, which I always thought would look better either with or without a fairing, so for my tastes, this is excellent.

Ok. It's done. I'm feeling it. The pictures don't do it justice though. You can see the brush marks in real life much better than the pics.
The fairing didn't work out so well. The paint won't stick to it no matter what I do, it I'll just paint it black for the time being and roll with it.

Its Duplicolor Metalcast on top of the clear adhesive primer. Almost all auto parts stores stock it. It's billed as a 'anodizing' paint, but it's really just a candy.
It went on nice, but it's a runner so you have to spray light coats and work your way up to medium coats at the most. It's a very easy job though if you have a little patience.
