Might paint horn cover...
I have the "Bar & Shield logo horn cover on my bike. I bought a can of Rustoleum High Temp Black Grill Paint and was thinking about painted the horn cover black. If I decide to do it, how should I prep the horn cover? It's currently chrome. I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not, just something I was thinking about doing.

rough up the finish to a dull shine with sandpaper, then wipe clean with acetone.

I put mine behind the battery box....nice lil spot for it there. Here's a pic that shows it before I wired it back up.
Do a search on "relocate horn" and you'll get all the help and ideas you'll need

I use a self-etching primer from Dupli-Color, and then hit it with Rustoleum's Textured. Works like a charm, IMO.
