2006 FXDI, Have OEM speedo mount handlebar clamp. want to rise it from below about 2" Who makes spacer/riser to go under speedo mount clamp?

 

almost any risers will work , but if you go to high youll have to extend your speedo harness

 

I think the stock risers are 1" - 1.5" of rise. I tried 4" up and 2" back risers on mine for a couple days. It was a stretch for the lines and cables, but not too bad. Thing I didn't like was the angle and the pullback risers put the speedo. Changed it from the 35 degree stock position to more like a 50 or 60 degree angle.

Rivco Products makes a set of risers designed to give you more height and pullback while keeping the speedo at the original angle. These are pricey and there have been some fitment issues when used with the bar mounted speedo. If I remember correctly, only slight modification was needed to make them work.

Edit: Now that I have re-read your post, I am wondering if you are asking about risers or just looking to raise the speedo without moving the bars?

If you have the headlight visor like my 2001 FXD, then here's what I did... I tried many different risers, 4" pullback, 6" straight, but settled for a thick 4" straight set. I used two 3/8" deep-well sockets (7/16 size works fine) to use as spacer to install them onto my headlight visor. Also get longer Allen bolts of the same thread size at most any hardware store. That should to it. Relocating the sppedo to the visor allows you to use any type riser, clamp, or handlebar.

 

No visor.

 

THanks for the tip. My fxd 2009 doesnt have a headlght visor, but ur right, gettin the speedo off the clamp offers lots of options. Can you still use a wind shield though? need one for a longer trip I hope to make down to Florida.
My 09 doesnt have a visor, could you tell me how the visor attaches, and maybe ill get one. thanks
