This happend to me 2 sundays ago - bike would not start speritacly
I changed the bat in the fob and the bike started everytime this sunday -I sure was nervous every time I went to start it
I still am nervous that is is something elsr but time will tell I guess
I do not have my code #s to bypass the alarm

For those of you who do not know how to do it,this would also be a good time to learn how to disable your alarm and put it in the transport mode in case you want to trailer it.It's easy and covered in your manual.

I changed mine permanently. Removed the security system.

I had the dealer do it. I don't believe it is hard, but you do need an additional part . . . .Total charge was near two hundred dollars, which I am sure is too much, but I had it.

I just didn't enjoy the security system. I wanted to be more "old school" and so went that route.

TSSM: Turn Signal Security Module
TSM: Turn Signal Module
ECU: Your on board computer for engine control...

All they do is replace your TSSM with a TSM and then flash the TSM to match your ECU.

You can usually find TSMs for cheap as hell on ebay but the dealer has to install it due to the flashing process.
