Default Wheel rim stripe

I'm going to paint a pair of rims in black and I want them to have a red stripe on the edge of the rim. My question is, do you guys recommend for me to paint it, or to put a sticker on the rim like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Wheel...item518f320b43
?

How resistant are them to scratches and to go off... also, do you shoot clear on top of it? or live it as it is?

I would stripe and not paint, this way if you change the look of the bike, you can take the stripe if it does not work for you anymore.

Stripe or paint? Dino or Syn? Another fun thread? LOL

Just kidding. I believe the paint would hold up better.
The tape might give you a good 'test' so you can see if you like it.

Anybody have pics of their wheels with the stripe decal? I am considering doing that on my Street Bob. Not sure what color.

I used car pin striping because i was afraid i wouldnt like it, and the wheels always get chips and lil scratches so i didnt want to waste a lot of money on something that could easily get damaged. In the pic you can see my silver on mine and the red on my wifes.
