I'm I going crazy or is your filter black? how did you get it that colour? I'd really like to get rid of the pinkish-red on my heavy breather.
I have a 90* a/c on my wide glide and it does not interfere at all with my legs.
This is not a "Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather". It's a generic brand that follows similar style.
Previously I had a Screamin Eagle Stage 1 air cleaner installed, using a K&N filter (part #: hd-800) and a custom diamond plate cover I made:

I have done some looking around and I dont see anything that is sold as a rainsock for this style of filter...That said, I have seen a lot of people stating no problem riding in inclement weather.
Im no rocket scientist, but I am wondering if there is more surface area to the filter so the intake pressure is lower at any given point on the filter reducing the need for the waterproofing?
I dont really know what it is, but it doesnt seem to be an issue.
My other thought is that you could find someone who sews and give them the dimensions. They could probably find the waterproof material, shape it, and sew in a draw string. the best part about this is that you could probably get a custom color.
just my thoughts.

I ride a streetbob with an LA Choppers open element air filter...like the SE stage 1 you're thinking about...I've been caught in the rain and haven't had problems...but if you're worried, you don't have to run this type of A/C open element style...there are several covers for this type of round filters that cover the filter completely (Harley and Arlen Ness come mind)...maybe this will give you peace of mind when it comes to being caught in the rain...happy hunting...
