There are a lot of good cams on the market. First off decide where you want to make your power-low end torque or higher rpm power that pulls through the entire power band. Some of the guys on the forum might have some cams that will work for you. I'm sure someone will chime in to help you out.

I have a sheet that I am using comparing different cams, but it is on my work computer. I will post all the data that I have later tonight when I go in. Hope it helps, but you still need to decide when you want the cam to produce the most power

their is no "best cam" for any motor, different cam grinds will produce power and torque at different rpm levels, motor size, compresion, heads will all give different results, you have to figure what you want out of your motor, and build for that

What you are seeing when the listing is for the early twin cams up to '06 except for the Dyna is because the Dyna platform in '06 was the test platform for the new cams for big twins '07 to current.

Any cam for big twin '07-10 will also work on the '06 dyna with no modifications of any type.

Dennis Kirk is a very competitive source for cams as well as J & P and Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse.

I think one of our members actually got the best performance from an Andrews 37 cam. I run an Andrews 54H in my '06 Dyna and it is a great cam but not as much on the low end as I had hoped for, much more of an all out ***** to the redline type cam with very strong mid and top end. The 37 may give good all around performance.

Dont' waste your money on gear drive cams or changing the cam plate. The only things you need are: 1) cams. 2)inner cam bearings (torrington I believe). 3) tapered adjustable pushrods. 4) gaskets. 5) a new map for your tuner.

Good luck.

not looking for anything to radical. some good low to mid range power. will be doing mostly solo riding.
doing the low rider 1st. then will look at upgrades to bagger for 2 up gain.
thanks for the info so far. I just want to do this once so I can move on to other mods. I don't plan on going beyond cam with the low rider for engine mods .

There was a good article in American Rider magazine in 07 about installing cams in a 06 Dyna. They installed the Andrews TW-37H cams and described 3rd and 4th gears as "one of the best rides in Harleydom". I had then put in when I had my engine bored. Very good low and mid-range torque.

I did the 26H but wish I would have went with the 37h. The 37H is a bolt in cam so you can use the stock push rods, it's just a little more work.
