Default Trouble keepin' it up

It's hangin low and I can't keep it up. My kickstand that is. I've replaced both springs in it ('93 FXRP Rear mount kickstand) and it still droops pretty low and grinds and sparks in any left turn. Not to mention it looks pretty funny from behind. Is there something I can to make it stay up or do I need to get a new kickstand? I've looked around for a new kickstand and options are pretty limited. So far this is looking like my only real option --> Only real option I've found.

Not sure if the FXR is the same as the Dyna, but I do recall reading there's a right way, and a wrong way to install the spring.

My 02 service manual mentions the spring when properly attached will have the spring hooks facing upward. Clean the linkage real good with some carb/brake cleaner and lube with some lithium grease, spray on makes the job easier.

I'll check the hooks in the morning butt I'm pretty sure I installed them the right way.
