Has anyone made this mod? Will it fit right on the s. bob or will I need to a make a bracket or modify anything. Also, wheres the best place to buy a fat boy headlamp? Thanks for any input

You might be able to find a take off headlight. I've seen quite a few FB's with aftermarket headlight buckets.

 

Saw a pic of a 'Bob on here last week that had a FB headlight.
Looked comical to me, but it is your bike!!

 

I did it to the wifes superglide over the winter, which is the same as the bob. Got a take off from a cvo fat boy. Chrome bucket with the dual halogen headlight. With a slight mod to the h9 high beam bulb, I ran the 65 watt h9 in the high and low beam holes. It was a direct bolt on, but I did make my own block, to move it closer to the forks. I also modded the windshield with a mini saws all to fit the bigger bucket.

 

Heres a few pics of the 7" bucket. I think it looks pretty good with the quick release windshield.
