Default Simple Fork Seal Installation on 2005 Low Rider

I just replaced my fork seals on my 2005 Low Rider. I thought is was pretty easy myself. I wrote up some instructions below, if anybody is interested

2005 HD FXDLI Low Rider FORK SEAL REPLACEMENT:

Tools Needed:
5/16” Allen Wrench
1/4” Allen Wrench
6 mm Allen Wrench
10 mm Socket (3/8” drive)
19 mm Socket (3/8” drive)
9/16” Socket (3/8” drive)
1-3/8” Socket (1/2” drive)
Ratchet 3/8”
Ratchet 1/2"
6” x 1/2" Extension (ratchet)
1/2" Combination wrench
Phillips Screwdriver
Wire Ties
Snips (to cut ties)
Pin Punch or slot screwdriver (to remove dust cap)
2” to 3” 1-1/2” PVC w/3/4” wide slice (length ways)
1/8” x 3” x 2” Masonite or any other material
Fork Oil
(2) Seals #45378-87 (39 mm)

You can replace the seals without removing the forks from the bike.
Lift the bike off the floor. Remove the wheel, brake assembly and fender. Wire tie the brake caliper up & put a 1/8” masonite in between brake pads & wrap a wire tie around caliper so the brake pads don’t fall out. Drain the fork oil (Phillips screw). Looking at the bottom of the fork you will see an 6mm allen bolt. Remove it. Go to where the dust boot is and slide it up. Under it you will see a clip. It holds the seal in. Remove it. Now grab the slider and pull it down. With a few strokes it will slide off. Now you can remove the seal and dust boot. Put it back in reverse order. Use a 2”-3” 1.5” PVC pipe w/ Ύ” slice as a installer. The seal should have the numbers upward. Slip PVC over fork tube above seal. When pounding seal in place, put bottom forks against something solid. You will have to take the cap off to add the fluid (there is medium to hard spring pressure behind cap, so push down while removing cap).
