Default My motor build * updated pics at end*

first off, HUGE thanks to Chad (redrubicon) for helping me with my build, with the 2 of us we got the whole motor out and the cases split in a afternoon! was awesome!!!
I am doing the full motor, welding and true the crank, pistons, bore, cams, heads, adj pushrods, timkin bearing, the whole shabang... doing a 95, he is doing a 107 (as you can see his motor is out as well in the back round of the pics) I am stoked as hell to get this sucker done, dyno'd and ripping!
but here are some pics of how we spent our saturday!

tanks off

rockers off and outer primary

removal of the heads

jugs and primary removed

cams out!

motors out!

so the bike can be moved around we fabbed up a support plate, thank god Chad can weld, and i can screw up measurements and drill holes ha ha ha

Next up cracked the cases

and here they sit waiting for their hearts to go back in

Damn Joe, do you ever take a break? I'm sure you're going to love the extra power.

My kid is having the 1200 kit done on his Sporty. I wish I had the know how to do it with him.

Since his is a 06 and has the new cam chain tensioners we are just doing a simple cam swap. He got the cams for like $100 used and they look perfect!
