2010 fatbob black smoke exhaust?
So i went out today and started up the bike (been raining off and on for 2 weeks now). Let it warm up a bit and gave a few cranks of the throttle. Each time produced a puff of black smoke. Mileage is 660 now. I've run the bike through the recommended break in, heat cycling, not staying 1 speed to long, gear changes, etc... Just recently started riding it normal. Nothing crazy, haven't even been over 80mph.
Oil is good (as in full) it's getting dark as expected and i know the 1k mile mark is nearing.
From what i can find searching, black smoke is possible mapping issue... at this point being that it's got some miles on it. Dumping excess fuel in the exhaust?
Can anyone confirm... I could run it up to harley if it ever stops raining. But i'm not one to just run my bike there at every little thing i see or question. That why these forums and you all are so helpful.
Thanks
Nathan

if the bike was not fully warmed up, the ecm may have been still running a little rich during the warmup period. For instance with my carb, with the enrichener pulled, the bike will puff out a little black when revved. Go for a ride and see if once fully warm it still does it.
Thanks
