Default HD Engine guard pics

Looking for pics of the HD engine guard 49010-06 mounted. Would like up close and from different angles if you got them.

Also if you have peg mounts on it which did you go with.

Thinking of going with this for my touring set-up.

Thanks

Click on the "My Album" link in my sig.

Several pics at different angles.

These are the pegs I have mounted on the engine guard (after the pics were taken).

Not very adjustable but inexpensive and just what I was looking for.

My legs are too short for my feet to comfortably reach pegs on the engine guard so I rest the boot heel on the forward control pegs and the toe section of my boot on the engine guard peg.

Default Engine Guard ?

It may save your engine while it busts your a$$, especially on roads like the "Dragon." Lean over too far and the bar catches the pavement and DOWN you go. I have seen it happen with 2 bikes locally, both were totaled.

That's a hell of a lean!!!

I've scraped the forward control pegs once or twice, but even then there was still quite a disance between the engine guard and the road.

My mid pegs scrape occasionally but never my engine guard. Maybe it's different with forward controls. Never had 'em so I don't know.

I'm not sure you can lean a Dyna over far enough to ground the factory engine
guards without hitting something else, first. I have HD forwards and drag my heels
or my pegs fairly often and when I do, the guards are still well clear of the pavement.

Thanks guys

I went ahead and ordered one and similar mounts (angled ones) as Stixman along with the Desert Dawg rain guards.

This will complete my touring set-up. Was alot of money for occasional use but alot cheaper than a second bike.
