Step 5
Divide the number of miles you drove by the number of gallons of gas it took to fill the tank. The answer will be your miles per gallon. Divide the 200 miles you drove by the 10 gallons of gas you used; 200 divided by 10 equals 20. You are getting 20 miles to the gallon in our example.

The FLHTC typically gets 45-50. The Dyna has been around 44 or so (except around town). Just put Xieds on and haven't ridden enough to know that they'll do.

My bike is an FXD2003 (88ci with stage 1 kit & SEII exhaust).
I keep a record of my refill milage in an excel sheet. Past 5 years I've done 40.409 km (25.108 miles) and needed 2.057 ltr (543,40 gallon) of gas, which comes to an average of 46,2 mpg.

The OP is getting about 10 mpg more then just about everyone on here. He must have a perfect set-up. My 10 FXDC average is about 46 mpg. I can top 50 mpg if I want to in good Weather, but if I want to play a little it drops to 42-44 mpg. V&H BSS with SE air kit and SEST.

Amazingly its pretty much a wash whether I ride two up with my wife or ride single. Seems I ride more conservatively with my wife along and definitely more aggressively when alone. No freeways here just rural and mountainous roads. I'm kinda **** about checking mileage on all my rides and even my cager rigs.
The 2009 FXDC consistently gets 50-52 mpg. Drops to 46-48 when we load her down for a lengthy road trip. I also do keep a pretty close eye on the Plugs as I have the XiED's on this Stage 1 96. Plugs always look just slightly lean..NOT HOT Lean.
Darn T storms and heavy rain....definitely screwing up my Fathers Day Ride!!!
