I have a 2001 fxdx and I am in need for information to see what parts are compatible with my bike. Any help will be appreciated.

 

01 fxdx - nice bike!

For starters seats, fenders, and tanks swap from 96-2003. Now with tanks realize if you switch between models (like a FXD to an FXDWG) tank you'll have some re-wiring to do and parts to buy. A low rider tank may be a nice set-up if you wanted to move the gauges off the bars.

Wheels all swap from 99-2003. I think 04-05 rear wheels are still 3/4 inch axle so they should swap as well. I think the fronts may changed to 1 inch axles in 04 (not sure though).

Calipers and rotors all should swap from 99-2005. Maybe even up to 08 and beyond. I'm running an 01 front caliper on an 08 wheel up front - same part number from HD.

Motor guts all swap from 99 to 2005. 2006 is when they went to a 6 speed and even though the motor is still an 88 in 2006, I think the cases are different. But there could be guts stuff that swaps.
