Fat tire kit on low rider?
I want to get a bigger back tire on my bike at least a 180, what all kits do they make or any ways to go about doing this? I am going to get new wheels also when I do this.

start searching there is heaps of info here, i've typed details of my mod, as have others so many times.,
search for "200" or "180" just keep looking.
a 180 is just a straight tire swap. to go to a 200, you will need to do a bit of work but not much.

2002 so there is a bit more too it, i think you could get a 160 in there just without too many mods but there would be some sort of kit for 180 or 200.

Yeah, I saw a couple of kits but wasn't sure what I needed to do I would like to have a 200-240 on it. No bigger, though with new wheels. I was just wanting to know if I could do a bigger tire with out a kit. I got alot of things I want to do to it so i'm not real sure where I want to start haha.

My tires are soon needing to be replaced. I was eyeballing the HD 180 kit (which includes the rear tire), but are there any real performance advantages in a larger tire (other than the "aggressive" look, as HD puts it)...better handling/traction on the road, maybe?
I'm assuming no other mods (like to the tranny) are necessary for such a slight change (slight as in a 180mm tire, that is).
Are there any good reasons not to swap out for a larger tire?

I'm guessing the newer model bikes can hold a 180 tire without changing really anything then.
